Zion's

This last weekend we went to Zion National Park with my Mom, Sister and Her Kids. We started the trip with lunch.

This picture of Kyla and I was up at weeping rock. The snow was melted but there was still Ice from the water dripping off of the rock.
I never new there was a face in the rocks at weeping rock until this trip. its actually pretty cool to see.

Hiking up to the emerald pools there was so much water it was crazy I've never seen it like this.

My mom and I hiking up to the upper emerald pool there was so much water you couldn't even walk in to see it. We were only able to view it from the rocks surrounding the area.

Wild Turkey's Crossing They were all over up there.

It was so fun to hang out with my family and have some time with my hubby.

Kyla

Okay so I'm only a day or two late on this post but in my defence I lost our camera and what's a post without pictures?
Our beautiful little girl came into the world on March 1, 2006 at 9:49 pm. Weighing in at 7 lbs 14 oz and 21 1/2 inch long.

She was so beautiful from the start, of course that's her mothers opinion.

Matt was and still is a great father to her. She loves to be by her dad's side in anything that he does.

She is such a character. loves dressing up in what ever she can find and making others laugh and just enjoy life.

She is now 4 years old. I can't believe how the years have passed and how grown up my little angle is now. Full of kisses and hugs for those who need them or just there to make someone laugh and forget the worries of the world.

Kyla you are such a blessing to our lives. Your dad and I love you so much that words can't express our feelings for you. We are so glad that you chose to come and live with us here on this earth and to be a part of our family.

For those of you who know we've been trying to have a baby I thought I would explain why it is not happening the way we would hope that it would.
Back in September I started going to a doctor for test to see what was going on. We soon found out that I have a condition called Pollysistic Ovarian Syndrom (POS). Basicly this just makes it hard for me to become pregnate. It also can cause some major issues as far as my health if I don't take care of myself.
So with that said we may be able to have a child in the future but as of right now I am not pregnat and probably won't be for a while. Sorry to all those Grandma's and Grandpa's that were hoping for another little one from us but it's not going to happen anytime soon.

Mothers Day

Kay I just have to gush about what a wonderful Husband I have. I didn't take any pictures yesterday but I figured the story in its self is enough to last.

The day started with us get up and going to church where I was so proud of my wonderful husband just bacause he held the priesthood and can pass the sacrament whenever they ask him to. I know that most men don't think much about the being a Priesthood holder, In my point of view it is a wonderful thing to have. I am so blessed to have a husband in my home who holds the priesthood. Who is also able to be there for me when I need him.

After Church was over we came home, On our way home Matt started asking me what I had planned for dinner. I told him I hadn't really thought about it. So he responds by saying well I was thinking of cooking stake on the BBQ and some Baked potatoes, which I reply that sounds wonderful.

So when we go home I was out checking on our tomato plants while he was in doing whatever it is that he does after Church, I came in the door and there is my beautiful little girl with a great big smile on her face holding a card. She comes up to me and gives me a great big hug and say "mom I love you" then she looks at matt and she continues by saying " Happy Mothers Day" She was so cute and so shy I loved it. She hands me the card Which was a beautiful card that matt had picked out inside is kylas scribles. And matt's helping her write her name. A little while later matt comes in with a book (which has been my favorite past time lately) And he tells me that he will take care of dinner and for me to sit down and read and take it easy.

After dinner he cleaned up the dishes and played with kyla so that I could have some time to myself for a little bit. He is such a great husband and father I love him so much for all that he does.

What a wonderful day I couldn't ask for anything more then the wonderful husband and family, and Friends that I have.

Spring Time

Okay I'm not one of those people that is great with word, heck I'm not even that great of a speller so bare with me.

I love spring time and all of the wonderful new life that is around us at this time. I love that I can send Kyla out to play outside and that she'll want to stay outside almost all day(if I allowed her to). I love how wonderful a walk can feel especially when you're having a bad day and just need to get out of the house to do something, anything that you can find (especially when it wares out the kids so much that they take a nap so you have some peace and quite.)

This Easter Kyla was old enough that she was starting to understand what a Easter egg hunt was really about and it was so fun to see her at my mom's house running around trying to find her eggs. So I thought it would be fun to hide some of her Easter treats in a few eggs around the house so we could watch her find them. Well that didn't work as we thought it would. She came out and just stood there. Even with us explaining that the Easter bunny had left her treats every were. We actually had to take here and lead her to everything.

Kyla did however love coloring Easter eggs that was her favorite thing at our house that we did. She wanted me to take the eggs that Weren't hard boiled and color them. I had to tell her no, i mean we did a dozen eggs that's enough right especially when your the only one that will really eat a hard boiled egg. It was so fun.

Happy 3rd Birthday Kyla

Okay its my turn to gush. My Baby is now three. I can't believe it, She is getting to be such a big girl. It doesn't seem like it was three years ago that I was in the hospital looking down at this miracle that we had created.

Kyla has always been a beautiful baby and now she's a beautiful little girl. She is full of such love for everyone and everything around. She's the little girl that if you tell her no that's not what we do she starts to tear up. If she hurts someone she cries right along with them. She has such a kind heart and she is willing to share it with who ever will let her in.

She can be a handful but at the same time she is always looking for a way to make who ever is around laugh.

She had a wonderful birthday. We had some of her friends over for a party and some pizza. Her Grandma and Grandpa Colton came down on Saturday and visited with us. And she was able to talk to just about everyone that wasn't able to come and celebrate with us.

We did a Mickey mouse Clubhouse theme party Seeing how that has been her favorite show as of lately. It was so much fun. I was so proud of myself I made the Cake, hats and place mats. We played one game of trying to pop the balloons to get the candy out which the kids had so much fun trying to do I think the adults were even having a little fun in trying to do it.

Her friends that you see here are Kyler, Bennett, Madi, and Logan. one of her friends wasn't able to make it because of some other obligations But we had her there in spirit still. One of the gifts that Matt and I gave Kyla was a bike she was so cute it was really windy but she still wanted to ride it. She even fell off of it once, Which my thought was oh no she gets a bike and then she's not going to get on it again because she fell of. But she actually did really well and she got right back up, after being hugged and having a band aid put on, and got right back on in fact we had to almost pull her off of the bike when it started to get to cold to ride it.
She had a wonderful birthday. Thanks to everyone for all of the presents. And everything you do for our family.

Night time

Okay just about everynight we start getting Kyla ready for bed she does this dancing and playing around bit. Its actually really cute. Anyway's The other night as usual we were trying to get her ready for bed and she started danceing. But this time matt was able to get it on camera, I thought it was so cute that I had to share it with everyone. the only problem is it turned out really dark so sorry i hope everyone can see it.

That morning we gave kyla her Valentines gift from her Grandma and Grandpa Hayes it was so cute. She immediatly started getting it out and playing with it. It was some scrapbooking stuff/Art stuff. She said that she was making Grandma a picture. It was so much fun to watch her She loves to color and cut paper. And let me tell you she LOVES stickers so much that I had them all over my house.

Quote

I found this great quote that I just had to share with everyone.

"Instead of comparing our lot with that of those who are more fortunate then we are, we should compare it with the lot of the great majority of our fellow men. It then appears that we are among the privileged" Helen Keller

I have a tenancy to compare myself to others and think that I don't have what they have, or I want what they have. In the end I do realize that I am blessed to have what I do have, even if I'm not as skinny or as pretty as someone else at least I have my health and my life. At least I have the wonderful family that I do have, that I love with all my heart.

I was once told that you may think its greener on the other side until you get there then you realize that its just like the side you were on before.

Snow Day

On monday it was snowing all day, we got about 6" which was a pretty good amount for out were we live. Anyways, Matt decieded yesterday that he should go out and shovel the driveway and walk way. Kyla had to go out with him it was so cute I couldn't resist sharing it with everyone.

First task was getting her dressed which was really funny she was still in her pj when matt mentioned about going out. he told her that she couldn't go out in her pj so she strips down and tells him okay dad i'm ready to go play.

We finally got her to put clothes on and then the snow suit, which we found out is getting to small for her. Can you see the high waters.

Then as matts shoveling she is out there kicking the snow back on to the drive way where he just shoveled. I was laughing so hard. She was also following him up and down the drive way as he shoveled.

This is really the first time Kyla has played in the snow every other time we have had her out there she has just stood there like what do I do now. This time she was laying down in it making snow angels, which I don't ever remember showing her how to do that but she was doing it. And throwing the snow up in the air and trying to catch it. That was really funny to watch.

when matt was done they decieded to make a snow man. It turned out really cute my baby's first snow man.

The Finished product. They were so cute the whole time playing out there. and I was able to watch every bit of it.
I am so blessed to have such a wonderful family. I love both my wonderful husband and beautiful Daughter that my Heavenly Father have blessed me with. I wouldn't change it for the world.

Oh January where have you gone.

Seriously I didn't realize that it was getting so close to the end of the month until today. yikes. I've been so busy getting back into my life after Christmas that I haven't had much time for anything.
Kyla is always busy doing something with ether her dolls or making stuff in her kitchen.

Matt is busy with work spending most of his time driving between here and Richfield or here and overton. I always hate those day's that he's going to those areas.

And well me I'm just busy keeping the house together and food in the cupboards. I still am tending a friends kids three day's a week. Which I'm not sure that I enjoy all that much but at least it is bringing in some money for us, even if it is going to things that need to be repaired because of the kids.

But strength is the key and I'm working hard at it. We are so blessed in the things that we have, and I do kneel in prayer and thank the Lord for everything that he has blessed me with.

Christmas Fun

For Christmas we went up to all of our families homes. It was a long trip but it was fun. I wasn't able to get any pictures at my mom and dads house (for got I had the camera) But we got a lot at Matt's Moms houses.
We were planing on spending Christmas morning with my mom and dad but because of the weather we decided to go to Matt's moms and stay put until the Storm passed. So out of our tradition we spent Christmas morning with Matt's mom it was fun but really different.

Matt's brother Bruce was able to come and spend Christmas with us which was a great treat because we only get to see him maybe once a year. As you can tell he doesn't like having his picture taken.

Kyla received a tent/sleeping bag/bean bag toss for Christmas. she has so much fun playing in that and teasing her dad while he was trying to take pictures of her. it was really funny to watch.

Eric, Kristy and there kids came and played also Kyla had so much fun with her cousins. She talked about it all the way home and for a couple days after.

When we go home Santa had left Kyla a little kitchen set . It was so cute she ran in and immediately started playing with it asking what's this every five seconds. She played with it the whole time Matt and I unloaded the car. Which took for ever.

We had a wonderful Christmas and it was so fun to get to see everyone. I love spending time with family and friends and its such a wonderful thing when you get to do it.

Christmas Festival

Okay so This last weekend Kyla and I went to The Cedar City Christmas Festival, I had some of my crafts in it that I was trying to sale. I decided that it would be a good time to have Kyla sit on Santa's lap. As you can see she was not going to have it.
I told the girl to take the picture any ways just because I decided that it would be a great memory later in life.
The funny thing was she was so interested in him she kept on asking where he was and what he was doing, but when it came to her time to see Santa she wanted nothing to do with him.
Well hopefully next year will be better.

And My Mom and Dad, Katie and her kids and Gordon, Jessica and it was really good to get to see Annalise Gordons Baby I haven't seen here for such a long time she is getting really cute and fun.

Saddest Mommy moment.

So I never thought that I would hear my Two year old tell me that I didn't love her. It was so sad I just wanted to hug her and kiss her and tell her over and over that I did.

See what happened is, last night I was getting Kyla ready for bed and for some reason she didn't want to go. So we were Fighting, yah a 20 something adult fighting with a 2 1/2 year old quite entertaining. Anyways she started telling me that she wanted daddy, I asked her why. and here if goes she says because he loves me. So I retort back, You know I love you too. And she comes back at me with No mom you don't love me... Cry..

I know she's only 2 and it shouldn't afect me that much but oh my Gosh I was not ready for that. Kyla is such a sweet heart and I love her so much I don't know were she got the Idea in her head that I didn't. I guess from here I'll just have to tell her and show her that I love her even more.

Halloween

So I thought I would show you what all of our pumpkins looked like. They were really fun to carve this year because Kyla could get into it and some what understand what we were doing.

Matt Dressed up as a Gorilla and Kyla dressed up as Boo (the little girl from monsters Inc.)
We had to work Kyla up to Matt's costume I think it took the whole month to do it before she actually felt comfortable to stand next to Matt. This picture took some work on getting she really wasn't sure about sitting on Matt's lap.

I for got about taking pictures of us in our costumes and so I started to take mine off until Matt said something about it. I was a Sorceress. or witch what ever you want to say.
